In a sad incident last Sunday (25th March 2012), a cyclist was found, fallen from his bike and in a very bad state, under the A50 flyover in Cresswell.
Even on a Sunday, a few cars pass along there, and some ‘Good Samaritans’ did see him there, and stopped to help. Sadly, their efforts were in vain.
Police do not suspect any foul play.
The man, Paul Derbyshire, who was 44, was from Cheddleton.
