‘Photo Moment’ – the local ceilidh band

This ‘photo moment’ concerns a group that uses the Community-Church Hall.

…If you pass by the hall in Church Lane on a Tuesday afternoon, you may well hear the sweet sounds of a folk band playing.

In fact, it’s the U3A Celildh band (pictured just before rehearsal, in the hall), who meet up more as a casual get-together of musicians than as a formal gigging outfit. In fact, as you can see, they’d rather like another musician – a percussionist – to join them.
So, it’s all for fun, but the players put in a good shift too!

These musicians meet on the first, second and third Tuesday of the month (2.30pm-4pm) to play, but hurry – the group takes its summer break from June 12th!  All ages welcome.
